No title

Hello,

Long time no post.

Hope you are doing well.

Here are some pictures.

It was Halloween week at AEON. I dressed up all week, well, one day I wore a suit, but that was it. We are both Amine (cartoon) characters.
This is the place where I usually see concerts in my town. Shot after a fun night.
So a month or so ago I climbed one of the most famous mountain is Japan, Mt. Haku, or Hakusan, with some friends. It was SO much fun. We stayed the night at the top in a cool lodge. Check out the link below for some more pictures

So this was one Saturday night, there was a concert going on, and I was kicking it outside with some friends. The kid was super funny, the girl was the mom, and the guy is a cool kid...that guy, two friends and I recently started a rap group. word.
So this guy is one of my better friends. Bucchi, He was a bartender (this is a picture of his last night) and we had a night party.

So that's about it. It's the start of November, work will be busy this month, but its all good. I am stoked about coming home to Denver for Christmas and being in Nor Cal for New Years. I hope to see all of you.

My Japanese is getting better, I have a National test in December, just for fun though, but its pretty difficult. So got some things on my plate, but doing good.

Send me an email,

lost of love,

Chris

Life has been good. Mom and Cam came out to see me about at the beginning of August, which was a blast. Work is going good, ups and downs I guess, but more ups.

I am hoping to come back to the states for Christmas. I am trying to be in Colorado on Christmas day, spend time in CO, then be in San Francisco for New Year's.

These are some photos of our trip. They are in reverse chronological order, I'm sorry, but its ok.

The last day in Kyoto we went to the Manga Museum, which was a basically a giant library of comics from the 40's.
This picture needs no caption, really. It was strange to have studied this building for so many years, see it in so many textbooks. It's a great reminder of so many things.
Good picture, huh. I really like this place. It's called Itsukushima.
We went for a hike on the Itsukushima island. Mom did great :)
A picture of the shrine at low tide. Mom's a legend in this picture.
On our hike, as you got closer to the top, there were little buddha saying, "come on cam, do a little tai chi."
One for the scrap book.
The sign was cool.
At Tenryuji in Kyoto. Cam lookin good.
At Tenryuji.
This is one of my favorite spots in Japan. The big buddha in Nara.
Mom and cam burning some incense in front of the big buddha.
Kinda a funny picture. It might look fake, but it's as real as can be.
In Nara, there are deer everywhere, and people sell deer snacks. It's good fun. We saw a little girl get chased around by a deer because she had some food. She threw the food down, and started crying.
The first world heritage site we visited.

So those are some of my better picture. To all my family and friends, wishing you the best.

Long time no talk

Dear Family and Friends,

I hope the post finds everyone well. Sorry I haven't posted any pictures in a while. Life is good. Maybe some of you don't know, but I renewed with my company for another year, so I will be teaching here till November 2012. Summer is HOT. Like 90 with lots of humidity. In the last 2 months, I have taken a national Japanese test, which I think went well, been making new friends, and trying to find some summer time hobbies. There is an outdoor pool that opened near me, so I have been swimming outside recently , excited. That's about it. Good luck, have fun. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Some cold ramen
Eric, another teacher, reading Animal Farm on the street. Ha.
The other Eric, rocking out. It speaks for itself...
This was my first real dance contest to see. This is a friend from my town. Studying Physics in graduate school, and dancing.
We went indoor rock climbing, which was fun, but I want to get outside.
Again, Karaoke, speaks for itself. By the way, I am an awful singer.
This was a photo with Nich and Hilary, friends from Denver, and two Japanese girls we met.
The baseball game in Osaka. Japanese baseball games are everything you would think, loud and strange. But lots of fun.
I never posted this one from March, but this is the Castle near me during the Cherry Blossom Festival.
Another picture in Kyoto with the crew. We had a great time.

cool.

That's it. bye bye.

Dear Fam and Friends,

Hope this one finds everybody well and preparing for summer, while enjoying that spring feeling. Japan smells like Houston, I can't believe it. And I cant believe I like it. Sorry Skookie, Sandy, Dad :). Summer will be hot, but maybe not as hot as Thailand, where I went last week. It was a great time. I met Eric Holder down there, and from the first night, and was a great roller coaster. Here are some pics.

On the way out.
The first night we have dinner on the beach, the second of like 10 pad thai's I had.
The view from the hostel.
This is probably the best one of the trip. It was on a lookout point on our first motorcycle trip. Team America baby...

This was one of my favorite spots. We came here two days in a row, and got a beer and relaxed on beach side. The second day we went for a swim, and the temperature was perfect.

The next night we saw some Muay Thai, which was fantastic.

I took so many photos of this band, they were not even that good, but it was funny because they loved the attention.

This is Wat Po, in Bangkok, quite a sight to see. I had a great time sweating, getting lost, being by myself, meeting some cool people, getting ripped off, and meeting some beautiful Thai people in Bangkok.

Bangkok
Back home. This is Osaka Castle. There were all kinds of street performers and stuff and performances going on around the castle. It was a nice day.

After that, I headed back to this chair, where it sit now.

My friends Nich and Hillary are coming out to Japan, and I will see them in two weeks.

I guess thats about all, wishing everyone the best, and a happy spring/summer season

April....and stuff

Dear friends an family,

I hope all who read this are happy and healthy. I didn't think I was gonna have that many pictures to upload, but I found some hidden gems(I figured out how to download from me cellphone). Enjoy, cherry blossoms are all they are cracked up to be. Some are out of order, winter time, keeping you on you toes.

My first cherry blossom party, super good food.
Same park, famous in my town.

In Shigakogen, Nagano

In my home town, a powder day.
My first and only trip to the sea, December maybe....
My first experience at the monkey spa, super cool.
Sunday, April 17th. The famous garden north of me. We went at night time.
At Kanazawa Castle.
Pretty, huh?
Kanazawa Castle
Kenrokuen, cool place
At a river in Kanazawa.
Staring into the sky

The Saigawa river in Kanazawa.

I guess that's it.

Peace out, love your life
